TO YOU IN PERSON

To You In Person
English Translation: MB Pradhan

Sandhya Regmi with renowned Writer, Poet & Translator MB Pradhan

MB Pradhan reciting Sandhya's translated poem, July 2012

TO YOU IN PERSON

If I fail to enter
Apartment inner of your heart
As merry whiff of fragrant air
In vibrant spring.
Appear I won't as
Benumbing cold
Of freezing winter.

Even if I fail to preent myself
As refreshing dawn
Never ever emerge I’ll
As dark  frigid frightful night
Of daunting terror ‘n tension.

If I fail to shield
Your heart with overspreading
Verdant  valleys and dales,
You will never find me
Standing on the crossroads
Of betrayal ‘n deceitfulness.

If I can’t appear
As velvety meadows
Redolent with roses
Of abundance and fulfillment,
I will no appear myself
To set ablaze your heart
With insurmountable  rocks
And daunting crises.

Awfully struck though
This life of mine
Witth mental agony  intense
I will not present myself
To expose my  moistened eyelids
And heart Ripped asunder
Spirit as good as dead.

Thrown into the vortex of anguish
This feeble existence of mine
Never will I Present ever
Begging for soothing succor
For my tormented heart.

Advancing to  dead end
Are my days of repine and sobs
Life  with you my dear
Tells a tale of endless pangs
But  you can rest assured
Will I  never ever surrender
My life woe betide.
